[LAB 5] Upgrade and Downgrade MikroTik

• To know how to upgrade a package in the MikroTik RouterBoard ( Untuk mengetahui cara upgrade paket di MikroTik RouterBoard )
• To know how to downgrade a package in the MikroTik RouterBoard ( Untuk mengetahui cara downgrade paket di MikroTik RouterBoard )

• Basic Concepts / Konsep Dasar
• Winbox is a utility that is used to perform remote to our MikroTik server in GUI model. If to configure MikroTik in text mode via the PC itself, then for GUI mode using Winbox we config the MikroTik via the client computer.
• Configuring MikroTik via Winbox more widely used, because in addition to its use easy we also do not have to memorize command console. To get Winbox you can download or can also get in your MikroTik.

• Configuration / Konfigurasi

(UPGRADE 6.27)

• Step 1, first check the hardware version, here i am using version (mipsbe).

• Langkah 1, cek terlebih dahulu versi hardwarenya, disini saya memakai versi (mipsbe).



• Step 2, before perfoming the upgrade version, first copy the file ".npk" the latest version. The latest version can be downloaded at routeros.co.id. 

• Langkah 2, sebelum melakukan upgrade versi, copy terlebih dahulu file ".npk" versi terbaru. Versi terbaru bisa download di routeros.co.id.



• Step 3, after copying files ".npk", open Winbox and select "files". 

• Langkah 3, setelah meng-copy file ".npk", buka Winbox lalu pilih "files".



• Step 4, and then paste it here, by clicking on the paste icon beside the "backup". 

• Langkah 4, lalu pastekan disini, dengan cara mengklik ikon paste yang ada disamping "backup".



• Step 5, here being uploaded file ".npk" the earlier, just wait until finished. 

• Langkah 5, disini sedang meng-upload file".npk" yang tadi, tunggu saja sampai selesai.



• Step 6, when it is finished, it will display the file ".npk" which will be used to upgrade version. 

• Langkah 6, jika sudah selesai, maka akn muncul file ".npk" yang akan digunakan untuk upgrade versi.



• Step 7, after the reboot, using the method : "System" -> "Reboot". 

• Langkah 7, setelah itu lakukan reboot, dengan menggunakan cara : "System" -> "Reboot".



• Step 8, finished reboot, open the "System" -> "Resources". And check the version changed to 6.27 or not. 

• Langkah 8, selesai reboot, buka "System" -> "Resources". Dan cek versinya berubah ke 6.27 atau tidak.

 

 (DOWNGRADE TO VERSION 6.15)


• Step 1, now we do the downgrade, copy the file ".npk" version lower than the version MikroTik RouterBoard. 

• Langkah 1, sekarang kita melakukan downgrade, copy file ".npk" versi yang rendah dari versi MikroTik RouterBoard.
  

• Step 2, open Winbox, and then paste it here, by clicking on the paste icon beside the "backup".

• Langkah 2, buka Winbox, lalu pastekan disini, dengan cara mengklik ikon paste yang ada disamping "backup".



• Step 3, then will upload this file to copy, just wait until finished. 

• Langkah 3, lalu akan meng-upload file yang tadi kita copy, tunggu saja sampai selesai.



• Step 4, after which it will be seen file ".npk" the earlier we copy. 

• Langkah 4, setelah itu akan terlihat file ".npk" yang tadi kita copy.



• Step 5,  and now we are to the "Packages" by using the method : "System" -> "Packages". And select "Downgrade".

• Lagkah 5, lalu sekarang kita ke "Packages" dengan menggunakan cara : "System" -> "Packages". Dan pilih "Downgrade".



• Step 6,  and then reboot : "System" -> "Reboot". Go back into Winbox then to the "Resources" by using the method : "System" -> "Resources". And checks whether the reduced version.

• Langkah 6, lalu reboot : "System" -> "Reboot". Masuk lagi ke Winbox lalu ke "Resources" dengan menggunakan cara : "System" -> "Resources". Dan cek apakah versinya berkurang.
